I have had several weird experiences in my life. One of the earliest experiences I can remember was in Alaska on a homestead where I lived. We lived in the bush that was about ten or so miles north of Wasilla. I was about four or five at the time; this was in 1976 or so. Back in those days, it was normal for children to play outside without direct supervision. We had rules to keep us safe, like, stay within shouting distance. The biggest concern was wildlife such as Bears and moose. I had the areas around our homestead the I frequently played, making forts and climbing trees, and just
exploring. As I played sometimes, I would get that feeling that I was being watched. Where I lived, our closest neighbor lived two miles away, so when you know you are entirely alone in the woods, that feeling is pretty acute. Though I never actually saw what was watching directly, I caught glimpses. Out of the corner of my eye, I would catch a glimpse of tiny little people hiding and watching from behind trees on many occasions. So my memories aren’t very reliable, especially at that age. I do have a consistent recollection of these little people. They were about maybe a foot tall and wore brown clothing. But that’s about it. Comparing what I remember seeing a kid, the Movie “Willow” with Val Kilmer, had these little people called Brownies. That’s is pretty dead-on to what I recall seeing. Now, when I was seven or eight. I was with my mom’s boyfriend coming back home from going into town. We lived across the valley from town and there was a bend in the road that gave a spectacular view of the valley. My mom’s boyfriend suddenly pulled the truck over and pointed to the other side of the valley. What he was pointing at kind of blew my mind at the time. It was a long thin rectangular craft. It had the proportions of a train engine, but big. I mean big, judging from what I know of the valley and where we were from the homestead, I could see where we lived from there across, I would guess that it was a mile long. It slowly glided along the mountain just below the ridge line. It was a clear sunny day in summer and I remember watching the shadows it cast on, move along the contours of the valley floor as it along. We watched it float alone never making a sound until it was out of site. We moved around a lot back then. This was a strange experience that I cannot explain. We had moved into an apartment complex when I was in the third grade. This one is pretty short but weird. Coming home from school, I entered the front door of my apartment as usual. I dropped my backpack in its usual spot and started to go to the kitchen for a snack. As I approached the threshold, All of the dishes in the dish drain flew up and off the counter, crashing on the ground. Boom. They just all flew up, plates, glasses, silverware out of now where. I don’t recall anything else like that happening there. I’ve always wondered what would cause that to happen? Ghost or poltergeists? A glitch in the matrix, who knows? We moved to Washington state, and I was living in Auburn, near the Green river Community collage. I was about fourteen at the time and was walking home from a friend’s house. It was late maybe one in the morning. The road was straight with a slight upward slope. Directly ahead of me maybe one hundred yards I could see a slight green glow (just like Slimer). It was fuzzy at first, but as I walked along and got closer, the fuzzy shape became clearer and it eventually took the shape as dog, kind of like a German shepherd. It never moved; it was just sitting there in the middle of the road. As I got closer, it became more distinct like focusing a lens. Just as this ghost dog became clear, as I approached it the clarity became out of focus, and by the time I got to where it was sitting, it faded away. Now, I am in Freshman Highschool. I spent so much time with my best friend at his apartment, I just moved in. There were several weird things going on at this place. The first most notable was that objects would appear and disappear on a pretty regular occasions. Simple things like car keys moved to weird places. That kind of thing happened a lot and was frustrating. My friends mom, found a Mans tweed suit in her closet (I never saw the suit, she had just told us about it when we started comparing notes). I had found an antique turquoise and silver baby’s bracelet just sitting under my bed. I had kept the bracelet for years with the intention to give it to my kids when I had one. I went to look for it recently but it is not where I remember it being put. I lost track of it sadly. One evening, my girlfriend at the time , and here mom were visiting for dinner. We were all pretty close, and spent a lot of time together for dinner, movies and such. My girlfriend’s mom had been knitting while we all sat around the living room watching movies. We took a break, and she needed to use the restroom. She put her knitting needles in the ball of yarn, as she always did, went to the restroom and came back. When she reached for her needles, they were not there. Of course, it was an APB for the needle. (All points bulletin) everyone started looking everywhere for her needles. Under the couch, cushions floor everywhere. We never found them and eventually gave up looking. What could we do? We finished the movie and My girlfriend and her mom started to go home. Her mom, went to the door to put on here shoes, and lo and behold. Her knitting needles were stuffed into her shoes. Later that year I had dropped out of school, My friends mom gave me the ultimatum that either I went to school or get a job and pay rent. Like a fool I decided to get a job. Burger king, for 4.25$ hour. My friends mom soon got a job working at Microsoft and wanted to move to Redmond. My friend and I were both working and it was decided that If my friend and I could cover rent and utilities we could take over the lease. We line up a roommate and took it over. Now its about 1990, in October. My girlfriend at that time, and I were having a lovers spat. It was pretty late an night, and the apartment (actually a townhouse) was on Lea Hill overlooking the Auburn valley. We had a great view and could easily see the Auburn airport. Anyway, we were outside having our discussion when from behind me just over the tree tops, an electric green sphere about the size of two volks wagon bugs put together, silently flew above our heads. I watched it fly very fast across the valley directly over the airport. It just flew in a straight line over the valley over the horizon. That obviously interrupted our conversations. I ran to the sliding door of our family den where my roommates were and asked if that saw that UFO. They did not sadly. Another very creepy incident was at the same townhouse. I was walking down the stairs to the bottom floor, the family den. The way it was laid out was that at the bottom of the stairs, a door led to the family den. We had a couch that faced that entry, and directly across from the entry was a bathroom, of which the couch also faced. I entered the room, My friend was sitting on the couch playing his guitar. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a tall blonde guy wearing a blue jacket, step into the bathroom, pushing the door closed behind him. The door closed but didn’t latch. Our place was known as the party place and crash pad for our friends, so I wasn’t surprised when we had company, but I did not recognize this person. I asked my friend who that was, that just went into the bathroom. He said that he was alone and no one was here. I told him I clearly saw someone walk into the bathroom. We both went pale and was immediately on alert. We walked to the bathroom door and did a SWAT team kick, opening the door to the bathroom, which was completely empty. No one was there. I can not explain what I saw. Since then I do not recall any more weird stuff. I am sure there are more things, little incidents, that I am not recalling. Nothing very creepy has happened lately. These are my experiences. ~Joseph H.
